The Minneapolis Sr. and Jr. High school student councils are on a mission to help stop Breast Cancer. On January 8th during the Minneapolis vs. Southeast of Saline basketball game, the students will be promoting Breast Cancer awareness by wearing pink t-shirts to the game. They are also asking the community to get involved in the “Pink Out” by also wearing pink and joining the walk between the boys and girls varsity games.
Other fundraising activities that evening will be provided, and all profits will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Pink t-shirts will be sold for $10 at the December 17 MJSHS wrestling match against Marion at 6:00 p.m. Pink t-shirts will also be sold prior to the January 8th “Pink Out”.
Pink t-shirts may also be ordered by contacting Dieja Martin or Caleb Kindall or calling the high school at 391-2113. Order forms must be filled out and money collected before December 18, in order to process the order.
The Student Council asks everyone to support their mission of finding a cure for Breast Cancer. High School Stuco Presidents Caleb Kindall and Dieja Martin said, “We thought it was important to donate to the Breast Cancer cause. Hopefully by our donation it will help them find a cure.”
