FFA Places 1st in Ag Sales CDE

The Minneapolis FFA participated in the North Central District Ag Sales career development event at Abilene on Wednesday, January 20, with seven schools competing. Minneapolis placed first with a total of 1085.2 points ahead of Washington County in second with 1042 points and Southeast of Saline in 3rd with 1028 points. Out of 40 contestants, Dina Lyne placed 2nd with 274.3 points, missing first by .7 points. Jessica Smith placed 4th with 273.3 points, followed by Dylan Crosson placing 6th with 270.3 points and Kyler Macy placing 7th with 268.3 points. The event consists of four parts: a sales presentation, customer relations practicum, phone order practicum, and a written test.
The Minneapolis FFA also participated in the North Central District job interview career development event placing 6th out of 8 schools. Dina Lyne, Jessica Smith, and Morgan Halderson participated in this event. The event consisted of four parts: a job interview, resume, cover letter and job application.
